Skin texture

Roughness, enlarged pores and dullness respond to controlled resurfacing and a routine you keep.

What is actually happening

Texture is the sum of several things: the rate at which dead cells shed, how much oil sits in the follicle, sun history, and how much collagen sits under the surface. Treating only one of them gives a result that fades in weeks.

Most texture plans pair an in-clinic resurfacing series with a home routine. The clinic work does the heavy lifting; the routine decides whether the result holds.

What we assess

Oil production, pore size across zones, and whether roughness is dryness or retained cells. These look identical and are managed oppositely.

What we usually advise

Start the home routine four weeks before the first in-clinic session. Skin that is already tolerant of an active resurfaces better and heals faster.

When we say no

Active inflammatory acne is treated first. Resurfacing inflamed skin spreads the problem.
